"I am not a carpenter, or a plumber, or a tradesperson at all, but I love it!"
-Bud Adams, volunteer of over 25 years
We build all year-round and are always looking for willing people to come and build with us. Join us as we swing hammers, run the power drills, paint the walls and clean the site. Whatever you do, we will offer the training, and the promise that you’ll do something significant to the whole build process. And don't worry if you've never even hung a picture frame; building with Habitat for Humanity is super easy! We offer you all the required and mandated safety training, a thorough orientation and supply you with the necessary safety equipment and tools including steel toe boots, hard hat and safety glasses. You're always in good hands with Habitat for Humanity. Best of all, you'll be fed homemade baked goods, delicious and nutritious meals to fuel your hard day's work. You'll go home tired, dusty, dirty and feeling incredible because you know that you helped us not just build homes, but build hope and a community for a family. After all, we may not live next door to each other, but we are all neighbours.
The build site is waiting for you... If you're an individual, a team, are ready to explore Women Build Week, or to become a Team Lead on our build site, all you have to do is explore the site and find the volunteer position that is best for you:
Ready to sign up? Perfect! Click here to be directed to our online volunteer database where you'll be asked to create a unique profile. - CSA approved, green patch work boots
- Class E, Type II hard hat
