Over the last 30 years, your “Gift of Home” has allowed children to grow up in a safe and decent place, a space from which to dream and explore the world.
We want to say “Thank You!” for making the gift of home a reality for the Kehl Street families. Habitat Waterloo Region’s newest partner family, who moved into their home in September, had this to share:
“As a working mother of small children…I almost gave up on my dreams of purchasing a home. Then, a friend of mine told me about Habitat for Humanity. Today, I am a Habitat homeowner. I am so grateful to the women and men who give up their time, resources and energy to help us realize our dream of owning a home.”
Once again, we appeal to your generosity as we begin a new project on St. George Street in Kitchener. These five-bedroom semis will be built with large families in mind. With accessible first floors, these homes may attract multi-generational families with members who have mobility concerns. For these new families, the opportunity to feel the strength, stability and self-reliance that comes from owning a safe and affordable home will become a reality.
As we have learned, it takes a whole community to make the dream of homeownership come true. We can’t do it alone and need your help! Please consider giving the “Gift of Home” this holiday season and together we will continue to build homes for families on St. George Street!
