Warehouse/Customer Service 2025
Reporting to
Store Manager
Position Summary
The Warehouse/Customer Service Rep. works in all aspects of the store operation, including receiving, pricing, and stocking at both the Cambridge and Waterloo ReStore Locations.
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. As part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, and in accordance with the nature of this position, applicants must be youth aged between 16-30 and either a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a Refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Position Type
This is an 8-week contract position at 35 hours per week at $17.20 per hour compensation
- Hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday
- Occasional evening and extra weekend work may be required
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving:
- Assist donors with unloading donations
- Screen donations
- Assist with picking up donations and unloading of the Habitat for Humanity truck
- Move product to receiving area
- Remove bar codes, identifiers from corporate donations
- Remove or repair packaging as necessary
- Mark products with “HH”
- Pricing
- If possible price as product is received under supervision of staff
- Stocking
- Move product to sales floor after pricing in receiving area
- Organize and clean, tidy as necessary
- Cleaning
- Collect broken/damaged product and remove to garbage
- Dust as practical
- Sweep areas before refilling with any product
- Check/clean bathrooms daily
- Keep aisles clear
- Sales
- Enter sales using “Point of Sale” terminal
- If required, help customers move their purchases to their vehicles or ask a volunteer to

Qualifications
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 40-50 lbs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow safe operating practices at all times
- Basic computer skills

Medium level risks associated with this position include dealing with many volunteers at once, working around an active warehouse with inherent safety risks
