OpenText Celebrates 35 Years by Building Homes and Hope with Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region
Waterloo, July 23, 2025 - To celebrate 35 years of innovation and impact, OpenText is giving back where it all began — with a $35,000 donation and hands-on volunteer support for Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region.
OpenText employees are proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region to build safe, affordable homes in Habitat’s newest build projects in Kitchener. The company's investment reflects its enduring commitment to community partnership – by giving back to our communities and helping to build a future where everyone has a place to call home.

OpenText has a long history of supporting Habitat Waterloo Region, consistently demonstrating their commitment to building stronger communities. Their support includes providing volunteering days for employees to participate in annual build days, fostering hands-on involvement in the construction of local affordable homes. To date, OpenText and their employees have contributed more than $145,000 towards Habitat Waterloo Region projects. Collectively, OpenText employees have dedicated almost 2,000 volunteer hours on local build sites, working side by side with volunteers and future homeowners.

· To date, OpenText and their employees have donated over $145,000 to Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region
· $35,000 was donated this year, in honour of OpenText’s 35th anniversary with over $4,000 additional funds raised by employee donation
· Prior to this year, over 200 OpenText employees participated in Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region build projects, contributing close to 1,500 hours
· This month alone, OpenText employees will volunteer nearly 500 hours on our newest home build projects – with over 75 employees registered for build days within 24 hours of spaces being offered
